16-gauge (Brazos series) sinks use heavier stainless steel—the same grade as large compartment sinks—offering superior dent resistance, longer lifespan, and 10-year warranties. They're ideal for high-volume restaurants, institutional kitchens, and industrial facilities where durability matters. 20-gauge (Comal series) sinks provide a lighter, more economical option suitable for moderate-use environments. Both are NSF-approved, but 16-gauge construction significantly outlasts 20-gauge in demanding commercial applications.

Electronic touchless faucets aren't universally required but are strongly recommended—and sometimes mandated—in healthcare, food processing, and certain institutional settings to minimize cross-contamination. They reduce the spread of pathogens by eliminating the need to touch handles with soiled hands. Griffin's electronic faucet models include wall-mount and deck-mount sensor options that comply with NSF standards and integrate seamlessly with commercial hand sink installations.

Select models—including the BR.68.110, BR.68.128, BR.65.228, and BR.63.228—are specifically designed to meet both ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and TAS (Texas Accessibility Standards) requirements. These larger-footprint sinks (typically 17x17 or 20x14 inches) feature knee clearance, appropriate mounting heights, and controls positioned within accessible reach ranges. Confirm ADA compliance requirements with your local building inspector before specifying.

Wrist blade handles are optional on most Griffin hand sinks and can be factory-installed on models with deck or wall faucets. These hands-free controls allow users to operate water flow using forearms or elbows, maintaining hand hygiene during washing. They're particularly valuable in surgical scrub areas, food preparation zones, and any environment where hands may be contaminated before washing begins.

Griffin offers three primary faucet configurations: wall-mount (faucet mounts to wall above sink), deck-mount (faucet mounts directly on sink rim), and electronic sensor faucets (touchless activation, available in both wall and deck versions). Wall-mount models save deck space and simplify cleaning, while deck-mount faucets offer easier installation when wall plumbing isn't feasible. Electronic sensor options provide the highest level of hygiene control.

End splash guards prevent water from splashing onto adjacent walls or equipment. Choose left, right, or both-sides configurations based on your sink's placement. If the sink sits against a wall on one side, order the opposite-side splash guard. For corner installations, you may need both. Sinks installed away from walls typically don't require splash guards.
